Asperitas

By Will Eades

We had been unsuccessful chasing storms that morning, but we did stumble across some ultra rare clouds that afternoon. Asperitas clouds are mesmerising when they move like textured waves, and we were happy with just that, but none of us could foresee what was about to happen when a gap in the west let the sunset come crashing through. The combination of structure, storm and colour made me feel like I was in a dream. With nobody else around for miles, we felt very lucky to see something so rare.
